Autumn Leaves

I was sitting here slipping a cup, yesterday morning when i notice that leaves were blowing across the yard and i got to thinking how ever thing come to an end, Winter is not far away another year is just about gone.

I remember the day that they tore down the old country store it  gone forever now, However in my youth i can remember the old store with all the signs on the side of the biulding and two gas pumps out front with price of gas at 26 and 27 cents a gallon, were you could buy a soda pop for a nickle and candy  kisses were five packs for a nickle they were four little pieces of candy in a pack, that sure was the good old days. us kids use to met their and play checker, our checker board was made out of a price of cradboard with the squars draw out with a black crayon and for checkers we use blottel tops. i have spent a many hot summer afternoon at that old store.

The big war came to and end and all the  bells were ringing all round the coumtily that and everthing was right for a nine year old boy. Maw is doing  good at the present time and that the way  it is with Maw and Paw  today.

I have many of the same good old memories you do. I'd sure like to see the return of cheap gas prices :-)

God bless and have a great weekend! :-)
